Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI) has begun supporting automotive parts manufacturers, esq in connecting to the Catena-X (European automotive industry data space) production network from October 2025, in order to comply with the data integration requirements that are essential for European automotive parts trading.

Features of NRI EDC connector
NRI will utilize its proprietary Catena-X certified EDC connector to support data sharing between the international bases of global automotive parts manufacturers, esq and European automotive OEMs, esq. This data integration will be based on data sovereignty in accordance with Catena-X specifications. In line with this, NRI has opened overseas bases for EDC connectors that can be certified with Catena-X (three regions have already been opened in Europe, APAC, and North America).
The EDC connector, which is the core of this support, complies with the Catena-X specifications, which enable data sovereignty in Europe, and we plan to continue providing functional enhancements and support in line with the Catena-X international standard specifications.
